Major – the subject that you study in university

eg: My major was Chemistry

Industry – a specific business sector (fashion, food, technology, etc)

eg: I work in the fashion industry

In advance – to do something ahead of time

eg: We bought our plane tickets 3 months in advance

Geisha – Japanese traditional women performers

Kyoto – Jingdu (city in Japan)

Balcony – a small window overlook on a building

eg: I stood on the balcony to drink my coffee this morning

Gansu is very different in the East and South of China – Gansu is very different from the East and South of China
