Review:

Class in celeste – class with celeste

Ex:  The last flight on Saturday/ On Saturday evening.

Ex:  It was the last flight of the month.

Ex:  I will take a flight in the month of May.

optimistic – positive thinking – le guan

Urgent – an immediate and important action

Picky – to have high standards about something small
eg. you’re really picky

Ex:  Children are usually picky eaters.

Ex:  My boss is very picky about things.

Disabled – people collectively who are crippled or otherwise physically handicapped

Ex:  My uncle is also disabled; he can’t get around by himself.

Reading:

Chain (chayne)

Trial:  a test period.

Ex:  I have half a year English training trial at SE.

Strategy:  a plan to accomplish something.

Ex:  I need a strategy in order to get all my tasks done at work.

Ex:  I need a strategy in order to improve my English in half a year.

Overall:  total, including everything

Ex: Our overall total was 1000 RMB.

Ex:  My overall income is from my work.

Huge (huje):  large

Ex:  In China there is a huge amount of people who like to travel.

Trash/ trash can:  garbage can, waste basket

Ex:  There are many trash cans on the street.

Ex:  Trash cans are very common in many cities.

Ex:  You should throw your trash in the trash can.

Disposable:  opposite of reusable.  Throw away, one-time use.

Ex:  Something that cannot be used again is called disposable.

Ex:  I bought a disposable camera for my trip.

Journalist (jern – al – ist):  an author for a magazine or newspaper. 

Ex:  There’s a lot of famous journalists in China.

Fewer than = less than

I don’t like coffee very good – I don’t like coffee very much
