F2F Class Notes _18th May (Harmony)

Various (vare – ee – us)

Portal  (por – tul)

Specific (speh – sif – ick)

Fired back:  to shoot back, to respond

Eg.  If someone yelled at you, you should fire back.

Media outlets:  different types of media, such as radio, newspapers, magazines, tv news.

Eg.  The government likes to use media outlets to control the information the people receive.

Outlet:  (most common) a plug in for electricity, and a market/store to buy things at.

Eg.  My son likes to put his finger into the outlet, so I have to cover the outlets in my house.

Eg.  Outlet mall is a great place to buy something that is on sale.

Summarizing:

The test run gave some feedback to the manager of the park and they want to give some explanation and do some action to improve the visiting experience.  They say their price is reasonable because they set the price according to lots of survey.  They want to make their price reasonable, but actually they aren’t reasonable at all.

Edited:

The test run gave some feedback to the managers of the park about the price of the food. The spokesperson wanted to give some explanation and take some action to improve the tourists’ visiting experiences.  The spokesperson said their price is reasonable because they set the price according to lots of surveys.

In my opinion they want to make their price reasonable, but actually it’s not.

I’m very envy to some girls who don’t like shopping at all – I envy girls who../ I am envious

Maternity (ma – ter – nih – tee)

Spoiled:  children/pets that are not disciplined and have everything they have ever wanted.

Eg.  I don’t want to spoil my boy because he has to be an independent person.  But cats don’t need to.
