Variety:  variations, difference.

Ex:  There are a variety of potato chip flavors in China.

Ex:  I hope to get a job with more variety.

Flavors:  tastes.  – bbq, cucumber, sea salt, lime, etc.

Ex:  I like sweet flavors more than bitter flavors.

Chit-chat:  casual conversation.

Ex:  In America it is normal to chit chat with strangers while waiting in line.

Budging the line/ to budge:  when you don’t wait in line (queue) properly, but instead jump in front of people.

Ex:  In China it is normal to budge in front of people in line.
