Vocabulary

Scratch (v): 1- to rub your skin with something sharp (such as your fingernails) especially in order to stop an itch. 2- to make a shallow and narrow cut in (your skin) with something sharp (such as fingernails, claws, etc.) 3- to rub a surface or object with something sharp or rough in a way that produces a harsh sound
E.g.: My cat just scratched my arm.

Swallow (v): 1- to take (something) into your stomach through your mouth and throat
E.g.: Chew your food well before you swallow.

Healthy (adj): 1- not sick or injured. 2- showing good health
E.g.: Eating well and exercising regularly is the best way to stay healthy.

Dig (v): 1- to make a whole in the ground by moving soil, sand, snow, etc. (Past tense = dug)
E.g.: They dug a tunnel into the bank.

Result (n): 1- a consequence, effect, or outcome of something.
E.g.: We are waiting to see the result of the American election.

Predictable (n): 1- something for which you can easily tell the result, outcome or future actions.
E.g.: The results of the election were very predictable.

Unpredictable (n): 1- uncertain; something for which you can not easily tell the result, outcome or future actions.
E.g.: He is a very unpredictable person.

Trade (n): 1- the activity or process of buying, selling, or exchanging goods or services
E.g.: The trade between the two countries

Election (n): 1- the act or process of choosing someone for a public office by voting
E.g.: The 2016 US presidential election happened yesterday.
