eg. The boy kicked the door and pushed his sister, he is very naughty!

mean – not nice

eg. Celeste is a mean teacher.

Associate’s Degree – 2 year college degree

culinary school = cooking  school

They locked her up in a house. –  they put her in a house and locked the door

50 percent / half of the percentage

rip off = to cheat sb

eg. The percentage Kokoora takes from your therapy session is a rip off.

eg. 10,000 RMB for a fake Louis Vuitton bag is a rip off, that’s too expensive!

There is no justice. = This situation is not fair.

mad / angry / frustrated / pissed off / upset

shady person -of questionable merit: uncertain, unreliable; sb you should be careful around

eg. I don’t trust him. He seems like a pretty shady character.

on the internet = online

eg. I’m online.

eg. The class notes are online.

eg. Let me look online.
