Broom- a instrument used to sweep the floor
Sweep: the action of moving something aside
Cylinder = a geometric shape
Aside: moving something aside- placing something or someone out of your way to the side

Fouls – pronunciation= fOWL

Turnovers= losing possession,
Eg: the warriors have too many turnovers

Too much one on one basketball
One on one= individual play one on one instead

Too many open shots = non contested shots
Poor defense

Charge= attack / also an offensive foul where the attacking player hits a stationary defender
Free throw line= the line where you take free throws from when fouled

Tip off= the way a basketball game starts
Jump ball= two players jump up to see who gets the ball

Travelling- moving with the basketball without dribbling
Double dribble= bounce the basketball, stop, hold it in two hands, then bounce again.
Box out= stopping your opponent from getting a rebound

Fast break= attacking fast

Inbound- passing the ball in after a dead ball

Cross-over bouncing the ball from one hand to another

Commentators= the people discussing the game
