Can you not tap your foot, it’s distracting.   Can you stop tapping your foot?

I called …. but they didn’t answer/pick up.

I texted him, but he didn’t reply.

high maintenance  – need to pay attention

eg: BMWs are high maintenance vehicles.

county – an area within a province

eg: Three counties merged into one county.

rumor N. – something you have heard, but not sure if it’s true

eg: Stop spreading rumors.

call for – to require; demand; need:

eg: The occasion calls for a cool head.

to stress sth. – to show it’s importance when you talk about it.

eg: Trust me, you NEED to study if you want to improve.    In this sentence the word need, is stressed.

eg: He stressed that they could not be late or their meeting would be canceled.

the housing price is soaring, it’s almost doubled
