Vocabulary

Tanning Bed – the machine bed that tans peoples skin

Tanning Salon – a place you go to use tanning beds

Top – used to refer to women’s shirts

Tan Line – the line where skin color changes from sun exposure

Fade – to disappear slowly

Ex. After washing my jeans so much, their color has begun to fade.

Phrases

When somebody says “my baby pictures” they mean “pictures of me when I was a baby,” not “pictures of my baby.”

Hands-on experience, or learning on the job¸ means learning something through experience instead of lessons.
