to jinx something = to attract bad luck by certain actions or words believed

inertia = difficulty in moving

easier said than done = something we say to mean that it is much easier to talk about doing certain things than it is to actually do them

diet = a controlled plan of eating only certain foods or only certain amounts of foods

dehydrated = lacking water, as in a person who has not drunk water or other fluids in a long time

a two-way street = a situation with more than one possible outcome, usually the opposite of what is intended
