Vocabulary

Emigrate (v): 1-  to leave a country permanently and go to live in another one
E.g.: Jenny plans to emigrate to Australia.

Immigrate (v): 1- a person who has come to a different country in order to live there permanently.
E.g.:  He immigrated with his parents in 1895 and grew up on Long Island.

Migrate (v): 1- When an animal migrates, it travels to a different place, usually when the season changes:
E.g.: These animals migrate annually in search of food.

Allergy (n): 1- a condition that makes a person become sick or develop skin or breathing problems because they have eaten certain foods or been near certain substances (adj: Allergic).
E.g.: Many people have some form of allergy.

Past (n): 1- having happened or existed before now.
E.g.: It’s all in the past, so let’s not talk about it anymore!

Present (n): 1- the period of time that is happening now.
E.g.: The play is set in the present.

Future (n): 1-a period of time that is to come:
E.g.: Sometimes I worry about the future.
