humorous – funny. Funny is a more common way to this. eg: Eddie is a very funny guy.

The total income of California is larger than France. – California’s economy is larger than France’s.

In Arizona there are largely deserts. – Deserts make up most of Arizona. Arizona is mostly desert. 

possessive – belonging to eg: Tony’s Student is Sam. Sam’s teacher is Tony.

My memory isn’t as good as before.

I am a government waiter – I am an assistant for government officials. I work with their secretaries to arrange special services for them.

After a period of coordination I felt more comfortable – After working with them for a while I felt more comfortable.

on purpose – not an accident, not a mistake. “He crashed his car on purpose.”

Pun – when you use another meaning of a word on purpose, as a joke. “He is really cool, maybe we should get him a coat.”

Slang – when we use words for different meanings. Cool: a little cold, not warm. He is really cool, everyone likes his style.

What do you call the baby of an Elephant and a Rhino (Rhinoceros)? Elephino (sounds like Hell if I know).

Sponsor – a company pays someone to use their product, usually a famous person or professional athlete.
