I didn’t go to the places of interest. – I didn’t go to the touristy places.

I had been there. (good, but not natural) – I have already been there. / I’ve been there before. (more native sounding)

I went to go skiing. – I went skiing.

I found a coach to help me with basic skills. – I found a ski instructor to help me…

The ground is separated by 3 parts. – The slopes are separated into three levels.

I tried to the middle level. – I tried the intermediate slopes.
