Matilda is a little girl and she is inquiring/curious/inquisitive. She is brilliant child but her parents always think she is a chatterbox because she is inquiring and she always ask them some questions. Ā From this page, I know everyday her parents don’t stay with her. I think her parents maybe a little selfish because 5 years old is too little to stay at home by herself. Her mom goes out and plays bingo for 5 afternoons in a week. Her dad went to work and her brother went to school. Matilda set out/went to the public library in the village.
I think that is a bad thing because if I am Matilda I will feel scared and lonely. In a girl’s childhood she can’t feel parents’s love, that is not a good thing.
