memorize v. – when sb needs to remember sth, learn by heart (needs to remember sth without doubt/hesitation/question)

eg. One method to memorize sth is to say it again and again in order to remember.

eg. Young students need to memorize the four tones when learning Chinese.

eg. I saw an advertisement for an iphone and memorized the phone number so I could call the Apple store to ask questions about iphones.

keep in mind – phrase to say remember sth, to remind

eg. Keep in mind, when speaking English we must speak slowly and clearly.

eg. Keep in mind, we have a meeting tomorrow.

recite – to repeat the words from something in a formal way
Chinese proverbs – Old Chinese saying
eg. zheng fen duo miao = sieze ever minute and second
eg. yan duo bi shi = if you say more, you will make more faults

faults ( fall – ts )

date / dating / dated /will date v. – when 2 people are together as a couple, usually a new couple

eg. I want to date her. / I want to date you.

eg. Uvia and Tom are dating.

eg. Uvia and Tom dated 2 months ago.

date n. – a plan or activity usually for 2 people

eg. I want to take you on a date, I want to take you to dinner and then ice cream.

dating = new relationship

relationship = when the relationship is not new anymore and maybe more serious
eg. We are in a serious relationship.

on a date –

eg. Who is on a date?

eg. I am on a date with ____.

eg. I want to go on a date with you.

destination – resort, hotel, city, country
eg. My vacation destination is Shanghai.

attraction – sth you can see/do usually for a short period of time

eg. I want to go see all the attractions in Shanghai, including the Pearl Tower and Disneyland.

scenic spot – place with a nice view of the scenery (ocean, forest, city)

eg. I’m going to America for sight-seeing. There are many scenic spots.
