dialect – regional vocabulary
caught off guard – surprised and not defensive
eg: He was caught off guard by their kind gesture
public relations -PR
mentality – type of mind or ideas
eg: PR workers often have the same mentality.
landlord – own apartment or house and rent it
crack down – to become stricter on a previously existing rule or law
eg: The government cracked down on smoking in Beijing a year after they passed the law.
stuff – dongxi, things
eg: They were stealing stuff from cars.”
accrue – to build up something, add more and more
eg: Some companies have accrued paid time off, where the more hours you work, the more paid time off you will earn.
