inhabitable adj = which can host human life

inhabitant n = a person who lives in a certain place / area

habitat n = an area in which an animal or human lives

transparent adj = something which we can see through

translucent adj = something which allows the light to pass through it but which we cannot see through

transparent =/= opaque

ferry / ferry-boat = a regular water transport service, such as from the mainland to a an island, or across a river.
