there’s 3 ladies for all 17 floors and after 4pm there’s just 2 guys in total.

on call – when your job involves waiting for a call / instructions to go and work

go to have a picnic 

nine – “eye”

the rest of the time / the remaining time 

your night shift is split / separated between 2 days so you can’t go anywhere 

workers – “ers”

organise a gathering / get together 

I wouldn’t be able to tell if they were chinese or not

in most times – usually / most of the time / mostly 

slang – super casual native english
eg. gday mate is slang for “hello friend”
