reclaimed – to take back eg: “A lot of San Francisco is built on reclaimed land.”

pharmacy – store to buy medicine, it will have special doctor to give you pills eg: “I need to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy.”

pharmacist – doctor to give you medicine

pharmaceutical – referring to medicine and pills especially. prescriptions used to treat problems. eg: “The pharmaceutical industry is very powerful in America.”

prescription – written by a doctor to get medicine from a pharmacist. eg: “My prescription is empty so I need to refill it.”

painkiller – medicine to soften or relieve pain eg: “Taking anti-depressants is like taking painkillers for a broken leg. You won’t feel the pain as much, but it won’t heal your leg.”

smuggle – to take something illegally from one place to another place eg: “Smuggling in China is a very serious offense.”

FDA – Food and Drug Administration

Vitamins – natural part of food and building blocks for your body, B6, B12, A, D (being in the sun) “Vitamins won’t be approved by the FDA because you can’t patent a vitamin.”

OTC – Over the counter medicine does not need a prescription
