Vocabulary

Daikon – 白萝卜

Abstract – not specific, very broad

e.g. Lyrics are usually very abstract.

Symbolic – something is symbolic if it’s a symbol for something

e.g. Mentioning colors in lyrics can have a very symbolic meaning.

Clip – a short video, sometimes taken from a larger video

e.g. A movie clip is a short clip taken from a full movie.

Atheist – someone who doesn’t believe in religion

To be baptized – to become Christian through a baptism

e.g. A lot of babies with Christian parents are baptized.

Arrogance – conceited, bad word for saying someone is too proud or confident

e.g. Some people are so confident they border arrogance.

Variety – when you have a lot of different choices or options, you have variety

e.g. At most buffets, there’s a big variety of food.
