Ex “You look strange; I didn’t recognize you.”

where were you going – where did you go

Ex “Where did you go for your holiday?”

busman’s holiday = holiday in which you spend most of your time doing the same or something very similar to your normal work

Ex “I spent my holiday grading exams, so you could say it was a busman’s holiday.”

rusty =  inept and slow through lack of practice or old age

Ex “I haven’t spoken English recently so I feel that I am a bit rusty.”

parity =  the quality or state of being equal or equivalent

Ex “Chinese people expect parity when giving red envelopes which can lead to arguments.”

staycation = a vacation spent at home or nearby

Ex “I find traveling to be very tiring; I much prefer a staycation.”

Ex “I can imagine when you visited a lot of her relatives came to meet you.”
