under-perform; under-achieving;  The Chinese volleyball team has under-achieved for the past few years.

Track & Field= running sports

At first; At first, I thought my husband was stupid.

I don’t want to put too much pressure on my child.

I don’t want him to fall behind.

Supplemental courses/Tutoring; Chinese students often have tutoring on the weekends.

Relieved;  After the college entrance exam we were all very relieved.

Got together/Hung-out;  The summer after graduation my friends and I got together often.
