split up/breakup/separate- to separate

eg. Britain is splitting from the EU.

brevity– the quality of being brief, concise – to stress the shortness of time

eg. I omitted certain passages for the sake of brevity.(shortness of time)

bloc-a combination of countries, parties, or groups sharing a common purpose

eg. The United Nations is a bloc.

turmoil-a state of great disturbance

eg. The team was in turmoil after losing their championship game.

arduous– involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult or tiring

eg. The Brexit will be a very arduous task for the politicians involved.

flight risk-the possibility that a person under the custody of law enforcement will abscond if granted bail

eg. The court refused to grant Mr. Smith bail as he was considered a flight risk.
