Abbreviation (n) – shortened words using only a few letters. . Adj. (adjective) sth. (something)
Abbreviate (v) – eg: ” Many degree titles are abbreviated because they have very long names.”
JD – Juris Doctor
Rusty – out of practice eg: “My French is a little rusty.”
Transcribe – to take audio and put it into text. ” A lot of the VOA broadcasts have been transcribed so you can read them online.”
Prepositions – short connecting words to explain grammar in a sentence “I recommend you study prepositions by reading news and paying attention to the words before and after the preposition.”
