Final Edit
My wedding was held in my hometown, Zhe Jiang. My classmates and relatives attended my wedding ceremony. There were more than 100 guests. My husband’s relatives didn’t attend because they lived too far away from my hometown in Hubei.

Most of my classmates and relatives live in my hometown. If they came to Shanghai it would not have been convenient, so just my classmates and relatives attended.

It was held in the morning in the winter, on January 9th of 2012.

First, my husband and I served tea to my parents and they gave each of us one red envelope containing money. At that time my husband began to call my parents Mom and Dad instead of aunt and uncle.

After the tea ceremony at ten o’clock we started our simple country wedding outside. There were too many people and the hotel was too small so that’s why we had the ceremony outside. I didn’t wear a wedding dress but a red overcoat because I was three months pregnant by then. I was afraid I would catch a cold. We exchanged rings and thanked our parents for everything. Then my parents said some nice words and gave us well-wishes.

After that we enjoyed a big feast with a lot of delicious Chinese dishes. My husband and I went to cheers everyone at the table and thanked them for attending our wedding. We gave one box of candy to every guest during the feast.
The feast finished around half past twelve, all the guests left and went back home. There were some guests who didn’t have their own cars, so my husband and I arranged cars to drive them home.
