Cast – to make a model(mould), to throw a net, to leave on a boat (to cast of from), to find actors for a movie
Ex. I am casting a model train set for my son using a rubber mould
Ex. To catch as many fish as possible we must cast our net in just the right place
Ex. Are you ready to cast off yet? We have a long journey to make and this is just a small boat
Ex. We are holding a casting session today and we hope we will find the perfect actor for the role
You can get better when you run into trouble – you can find solutions to problems more easily
Expand and expend – pronunciation
Is to promoting your career – is good for career promotion
Subsidiary – a section of a business which is subordinate, a smaller part of the business
Ex. Can you tell our subsidiaries in Canada to find the correct materials we need for this project
Expend – to spend energy or money
Ex. I always expend far too much heat when I work and need to take a break outside to cool off
Ex. Our expenses were too high this month and we need to make some cuts
And can’t shouting – and doesn’t shout much
It’s very less to hear him shouting – we don’t often hear him shouting
Conscientious – con-shee-en-shus – to be aware of your environment (social)
Ex. He is a very conscientious individual and always seems to notice when someone is not enjoying themselves at a party
Ex. I am not very conscientious because I am very selfish
