One night, a man in Germany ran a red light, this was very unlike him and unfortunately for him an old woman reported him to the police. This is a common issue in China but in Germany it rarely happens.
After a few days, the insurance company phoned the man. They said, “we will add 10% to your insurance starting next month. A few hours later, the bank staff informed him that they would reduce the time for him to payback his loan.
When the man’s son’s school found out his father had run a red light, his son told him, my classmates laughed at me, I don’t want to go to school next week it’s really embarrassing. Most of Chinese people run red lights without facing any penalty.

On night, a German guy ran the red light with some brave exception. But he was found by an old woman. It’s a really common situation in China. But in Germany, it will influence your life.
After a few days, the insurance company staff made a phone call: we will add 10% to your insurance fee from next month. After that, the bank staff informed him that they would reduce the time of his plan of installment.
His son told him that the teacher asked him to pay the tuition fees by cash. When he knew his father had run the red light, the boy said, my classmates laughed at me, I don’t want to go to school next week, it’s really loss face.
Most of Chinese people ran the red light without any penalty. This story is quite sharp but worth consideration

Vocabulary

Loan – to take money from the bank and pay back with interest over a specific period of time.

Lend – to give somebody something but then get it back later

Borrow – to take something from somebody but give it back later
