F2F Class Notes 20th September (Lina)

They are someone still in college and one is working – Some of them are still in college and one is working /has started working

So he want to meet us before he go abroad(present/future) – So he wanted to meet us before he goes abroad (past)

Full moon –when the moon is completely round.

It’s the day that we met our family and talk with each other –  it’s the day that we meet our family and talk with each other / and catch up / spend some time with each other

Sisters and brothers if not your siblings = Cousins

Cousins – are the children of your patents siblings e.g. you mothers sister’s daughter

I have two cousins, one boy and one girl

I just at home and I haden’t do anything special – I just stayed at home and I didn’t do anything special

National day –  (the day China was “founded”) what we celebrate for a week in October.

Are you doing anything special for National Day?

Parade                – When people walk down the street (to celebrate or protest), marching, singing or dancing, waving flags etc. this is called a parade. There is always a big parade broadcasted on television to celebrate The Chinese National Day. You can have a parade for any purpose though.

Series – tv shows or movies cut into episodes e.g. Gossip girl. Not necessarily shown on television.

                             One of my favorite series of all times is Band of Brothers.
