Corrections (original – corrected)

He was died because of depression – he died as a result of depression*

*Note: Since depression is not the actual cause of death, we should use
“as a result” here. If the object is the actual cause of death, you can say “from,” for example: “He died from cancer.”

Ex. My favourite celebrity committed suicide.

Suffocation – dead from lack of oxygen

Expressions 成语

To “shout at someone” means to yell at them angrily, but to “shout to someone” sounds as though you are trying to get their attention.

Original:

I have decided that I won’t use social media anymore, it’s like drugs which can destroy my life.

First of all, I felt that the lives people showed online are not the realistic versions of them, and it’s just a need that they would like to be noticed and adored by someone else. However, what if you shout to your kids, would you post it online? Definitely not, as it would turn out that you are a terrible parent. Everyone is managing their lives online in order to make it look better. Everyone is pretending that they have a perfect life like Hollywood celebrities. Social media, it makes more and more people to be depression, as you find that anyone else has a better life than you.

Secondly, people’s aesthetic needs are in a single direction of diversification. In China, many girls want to be sharp chinned, doll eyed. Then they choose to have a plastic surgery which is not a positive message to young generations. Beauty is diverse, we don’t need to be stereotype to be beautiful.

Thirdly, there’s too much negative information online. As we don’t need to take the responsibility to the words we sent online, many people tend to make their conclusions without considering. The internet is the ugliest reflection of human beings.
