Vocabulary

Sexual Harassment (n): 1- unwanted or offensive sexual attention, suggestions, or talk.
E.g.: She accused her boss of  sexual harassment.

Cold-calling (n): 1- the activity of calling or visiting a possible customer to try to sell them something without being asked by the customer to do so.
E.g.: Cold-calling is a big part of a lot of sales jobs.

Charger (n): 1- a device that is used to recharge a battery (= fill it with electricity), for example in a mobile phone.
E.g.: My phone ran out of battery and I forgot my charger at home.

Enthusiastic (adj): 1- showing enthusiasm.
E.g.: You don’t seem very enthusiastic about the party – don’t you want to go tonight?

Persuasion (n): 1- the action or process of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something. (v: Persuade)
E.g.: It took a lot of persuasion to convince the committee of the advantages of the new plan.

Mortgage (n): 1- a loan taken in order to buy a house.
E.g.: They took out a £40o,000 mortgage to buy the house.
