to get laid off = to lose one’s job when they are not needed anymore

to quit (informal, to leave a job) = to resign.

to quit = to stop doing something.

E.g. My friend wants to quit smoking, but he’s finding it very difficult.

I love the pirate who acted by Johnny Depp. I don’t care he’s fifty or five hundred years old. he’s really handsome and just for me he has some feelings, like he’s very sad when I look at him. I think his act is very good, just like Jack Sparrow is he. When he in this movie I think he’s a little bit psycho. Jack Sparrow is a mad person, so I think he’s a little psycho, but he’s funny. He is very confident when he did everything.  And the most part I like in this movie is the last one with the mermaid. All people think mermaid is evil, but there is man he think mermaid is very kind. At last, he is fall in love with the mermaid. I think then he lived on the water with the mermaid a happy life.
