Sponsor (n): a person or organization that pays for or contributes to the costs involved in staging a sporting or artistic event in return for advertising.

E.g.: “The production of the TV show costs 500,000 Yuan and will be covered by local sponsors.”

To Sponsor (v): provide funds for a project or activity or the person carrying it out.

E.g.: “My client sponsors many different TV shows.”

Sponsorship (n): 1- the position of being a sponsor. 2- financial support received from a sponsor.

E.g.: ”We raised about £6,000 in sponsorship.”

Washing powder (n): 1- detergent in the form of a powder for washing clothes, bed linen, etc.

E.g.: “I ran out of washing powder, so I couldn’t wash my clothes last night.

Sanitary pad (n): 1- an absorbent pad worn by women to absorb menstrual blood.
Tampon (n): 1- a plug of soft material inserted into the vagina to absorb menstrual blood.

E.g.: Girls use sanitary pads and tampons “that time of the month”.

Each other / one another

Story:

Last week I made appointment with my friends. One is live in Hangzhou, one is live in Guangzhou and the other one live in Fuzhou and we are close friends and we know each other around 30 years. So because we are live in a different city, we don’t met so often. But this month 18th is my birthday, so we decided to meet in Shanghai. I’m so excited about that! We make several activities plans, like take a photos and have a big drunk and go to KTV. Because they all work and very busy, so everyone trying to find a time to come to shanghai. Finally we decided a date.
