Vocabulary
telephone – office or home phone
cell phone / mobile (mo bull ) phone / phone
phone / phoning / phoned / will phone verb – to call
eg. I phoned her last week.
need (now) vs. needed (past)
eg. I need to go to the bathroom. vs. I needed to go to the bathroom. ( I needed to go to the bathroom but now I don’t need to go. Now, I am ok)
eg. I need something to eat. vs. I needed something to eat. (I needed something to eat but now I’m not hungry.)
eg. I need you. vs. I needed you (I needed you but you weren’t available MANY POSSIBILITIES)
I want you to be my assistant. vs. I wanted you to be my assistant. (I wanted you to be my assistant but now the position is filled)
