eg. Howie obeys my father.
punch v.- to hit sth/sb with a closed hand, with a fist
slap /smack v.- to hit sth/sb with an open hand
spank/swat them on the butt/behind
discipline them ( diss – sip – plin )
eg. I need to discipline them, they are misbehaving.
misbehave = act up
eg. Howie always acts up at my father’s house.
Howie always wastes foods. – Howie always wastes food.
rice vs. noodles
vegetables and fruits
Howie will always be dependent on others. / Howie will always depend on others.
bedside table / nightstand – table beside your bed
on the bed – sitting or laying on top of the blankets on the bed
eg. My phone is on my bed.
eg. Our clean clothes are sitting on the bed.
in bed = under the blankets that are on the bed
eg. I’m sick at home in bed.
eg. I like to eat breakfast in bed.
eg. I like to watch TV in bed.
eg. Howie likes to read when he’s in his bed.
go to bed / bedtime – physically get in your bed
eg. Howie! Go to bed! Get in your bed! It’s not playtime anymore!
go to sleep / time to sleep / lights out – close your eyes, try to sleep
eg. It’s time to sleep.
bath time – time to take a bath, usually for children
eg. It’s bath time.
take a bath/shower
mommy time – leave mommy alone, let her be, don’t disturb her
breakfast time / lunch time / dinner time – time to eat
eg. Hurry up, Howie! It’s dinner time, go wash your hands! It’s time to eat.
