F2F Class Notes 18th February (Jesse)

The worst evaluation of a capital city is no more than it is known as a noncapital city. Jinan is such an awkward city in Shandong province. Generally, people view Qingdao as the capital of Shandong province,but actually Jinan does. Qingdao is famous for its tourism and seafoods.In China, coastal cities develop quicker than those inland cities on account of thirty plus years opening up into outside world. Qingdao is a coastal city whereas Jinan is an inland one. However, the location is not the critical factor of advancement of the city. In the analysis the point is how to build the city according to local conditions.For instance,One of my guests is a state-owned corporation,which is responsble for exploiting and constructing one of the District Business Centers in Jinan and belongs to management commitee which is a government agency.In the past five years,the leadership of the campany have changed three times and each management just take their own opinions into consideration but not real requirement of development of the city.Most of the time,state-owned companies prefer listening to who they belongs to to insisting what they should do indeed. That is where the tragedy is.
