I usually go to the salon which is near my apartment.

are employees are very less – we have very few employees

it is hard for us to employ others – it is hard for us to find new people

Vocabulary

demolish – to destroy a building and relocate the inhabitants. eg: “When the government wants to demolish the village they will give new apartments to the inhabitants.”

inhabitant – the person or animal that lives there.

indigenous – naturally from that land. eg: “Horses are indigenous to Europe, and were introduced to North America a few hundred years ago.” “Native Americans are indigenous to North and South America.”

stray – (for an animal) that does not have an owner eg: “Shanghai is full of stray cats.” “Bangkok, is full of stray dogs.”

by the book – to follow the rules strictly eg: “One teacher I know always goes by the cook when she has classes.”

Call it a day – to stop working on something for the day. eg: “I’m tired from decorating my house for Christmas and I wanna call it a day.”

refuse to cave in – to not give in to any pressure. eg: “They refused to cave in about the supervisor’s suggestion for company uniforms.”

cave (v) – to give in to some pressure eg: “His girlfriend wanted them to move to New York, he didn’t want to but he caved immediately.” “I can’t believe you caved and accepted their offer, it was terrible.” “My Mother wanted to buy a new apartment but my father doesn’t want a big debt, so he refused to cave in.”
