Chinese New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese people. It is also called the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year. It’s our favorite holiday because we have a long break and it is also a time for family reunion in a year,no matter where the family members are,they will manage to go back home for family reunions.
Children likes the Spring festival best because they could wear new beautiful clothes and get red envelopes from parents,grandparents,uncle and aunt. They can buy school supplies with the money.

I also got red envelopes when I was a child,but there were not too much.My mother stored the money for me,i would ask for it if I needed to buy my favorite school supplies . I wouldn’t buy expensive things. In my memory i bought a pair of shoes myself using the red envelopes. The shoes was white color made of cotton.There was a stretchy elastic on the face. They were simple without anything else decorations but it was very popular with wearing the shoes at that time. They were very cheap about twenty yuan. But we can’t find the shoes from stores now.
Prices has gone up so much and won’t go down anymore,we must pay much more money to get one same thing now but the holiday spirit doesn’t change,all people enjoy this so much.
