lose your mind – to become crazy

eg: “I’m gonna lose my mind if I hear that song one more time.”

dodged a bullet – to barely avoid a bad situation that would surely hurt you

eg: “She dodged a bullet when she found her boyfriend was on a date with another girl before their wedding.”

blow up – to lose control of your anger or emotions

eg: “The client blew up about the auto reminder, because they clearly said they don’t want any more reminders.”

throw someone under the bus – to sacrifice someone so that you don’t get hurt

eg: “My manager threw me under the bus so he wouldn’t mess up his chances for a promotion.”

call somebody out – to publicly point out someone’s mistakes

eg: “I called him out for not doing his own work because he tried to blame me for being unproductive.”
