F2F Class Notes 16th April (Daniel)

Is there anything new?

There is nothing new.

Nothing special.

Something happened at work made me realize that China is a relationship-focused society. One of my clients is a retired businessman. He wanted to buy a house in our project. He needed to find out a way to contact one of our sales, because we haven’t promoted the project publicly. Then, after making an appointment, he could find out more details about the project in our sales office in city centre. He also needed to fill in a personal information questionnaire and make another open-house appointment. After visited the sample house, if he is interested, he still have to submit a membership application. After submission, he has to wait a few days to process the application. This made me think, if someone is just a regular civilian, it’s going to take a long and painful process to purchase a house from our project. But if someone is well-connected or has important social-status, all of the above procedures can be saved. This social fact brings so much inconvenience for both us and our clients.
