A: I own a wholesale clothing shop.
Company Vocabulary
position: zhiwei what you do at the company, the name of your job, eg: Teacher, Manager, Assistant, Designer, Salesperson, Buyer. Owner.
eg: “I’m a buyer for Korean fashion.” “I’m a buyer for JC shop.”
assistant -a person who helps the manager or another to do their job
eg: “My job doesn’t really need an assistant.” If my company gets bigger I’ll need an assistant.”
promotion N– to get a higher position at your company promote V – to get a promotion
eg: “I need a promotion to get a higher salary.” “I need to be promoted, to get a higher salary.”
raise N– to get more money from your job
eg: “I worked here for 2 years before I got a raise.”
Commission – payment based on sales, if you sell more, you get paid more
eg: “I get a 10% commission on sales at my company.” “If I sell a shirt for 100 yuan, I get 10 yuan commission.”
Grammar
How to make a sentence:
A sentence is made of at least one Clause
Clause – is a part of a sentence, it has a subject(N) and a Verb(V). The subject is doing something.
Simple Sentence : 1 part
He eats noodles for lunch. He is the subject. Eats is the verb. (Simple Sentence)
Compound Sentence : 2 parts, uses a conjunction.
Conjunction – is a linking word, And, But, However…
He eats noodles for lunch and calls his mother after. (Compound Sentence)
He eats noodles for lunch and he calls his mother after. (2 clauses, He eats, He calls)
