ruthless – having no pity : cruel or merciless

eg: He’s a ruthless competitor.

be catfished – to be tricked by a fraud online

eg: He was being catfished by a Canadian woman pretending to be a model.

aspire V. – to try to be or work to become sth.

eg: He’s an aspiring NBA player, he has been playing basketball all his life.

leapfrog – to skip over one stage

eg: We should invest in new technology so we can leapfrog the previous level without having to invest in it.
