Homework: Write a description about Venice and why you think it is a charming city.

I was born and raised in Shanghai.
Shanghai is one of the most modern cities in China.
There are many tall buildings in Shanghai.
I am used to taking the bus, subway, or taxi when I go outside. / People who live in Shanghai are used to taking the bus, subway, or taxi when they go outside.
I learned about Venice from some movies and pictures.
Venice is an old city living over the water which makes it so different from Shanghai.
Maybe Venetians are good at swimming.
When they go outside, they will take a gondola instead of road transportation (?).
There aren’t any/There are no modern buildings in Venice.
They are maybe more than 100 years old.
So, there are many stories hidden in these buildings.
