turn up – To increase the volume, temperature, etc., of something by pressing a button, moving a switch, etc.
eg: “Please turn the music up, I love this song!” “I can’t turn the brightness up on my phone.” Can you turn up the volume, I can’t hear it.”

Fries – (French Fries, ‘USA’ Chips ‘England’) fried potatoes

eg: “I like Burger King’s fries more than McDonald’s.”

have say – means to have influence in making a decision

eg: “I have the final say in what price we will pay for the materials.”

eg: “I thought I had some say in the discussion, but actually because I am not part of the family I had no say in what the baby would be named. The mother and father have the most say about the baby’s name.”
