transparent adj = which can be seen through

translucent adj = which allows light to go through

opaque adj = which does not allow light to go through

to peer v = to look, usually with difficulty

peer n = an equal, someone in a similar position or group, colleague

peer pressure = pressure from a group of similar age, interests etc

to bisect = to cut in two

crossroads

intersection n = the point where two lines meet

to intersect = (said of a line) to cut / meet another line

hybrid = a combination of two technologies, species, sources of energy, etc

et cetera [et – ‘sette – rah]
jargon = specific language that people in a certain line of work use
