F2F Class Notes 12th + 19th September (Jesse) – jojo’s story
they keep sending you what a 1 year old child should do
I come to SE so that I can learn English
eg. I am too hot to sleep
eg2. i am too sick to go to work
His favorite thing is to climb into children’s bodies and make their temperature high.
He enjoys children’s tears and fears a lot because he likes to make fun of them.
Children are all afraid of him , and so is Jojo.
One day, General Fever comes , Jojo feels terrible . He says to his mommy: Mama , make him go away. He is too sick to talk, so he can only cry. He can hear General Fever laughing at him for his sickness which makes him cry harder.
Jojo’s mom worries about him , but she also encourages her son: “Don’t be afraid of him ! He likes to scare people.” However, if you can just ignore him and take the medicine , he won’t be able to stay in your body anymore .
General Fever says to Jojo: “No , I’m not going anywhere. I like you , sick boy , I will always stay with you!”
Jojo is too scared and sick to say a word but he trusts his mother very much. He knows his mother won’t lie to him.
Although he doesn’t want to take the pills, because they taste terrible , he still takes them all.
He also drinks a lot of water and goes to sleep.
While he is sleeping, he has a dream. In the dream , General Fever comes with his black cape and funny red hat. But to Jojo, his image looks blurry and his body was weak. He asks Jojo , What have you taken / done to me? Why do I feel my power is gone? Now, I have to leave your body.
Jojo doesn’t answer him , he just stares at General Fever. He feels General Fever is no longer a scary monster but just a sad old man. He knows that he won’t be able to hurt him anymore . He says to General Fever, I’m a brave boy , I ‘m not afraid of you ! Please leave right now. You are not welcome! General Fever struggles and shouts that he will come back soon. But nothing can stop him from leaving Jojo’s body now, and Jojo starts to feel better even while still dreaming.
Jojo sweats a lot so his mother puts a wet towel on his head to cool him down.
When he wakes up , his fever has gone and he feels that his energy has returned.
Describe general fever, black cape & red hat, looks scary.
GF is scary and makes people sick. He laughs at people’s sickness.
He comes to jojo’s body and makes him sick.
Jojo wants to beat him so takes medicine and drinks water, be good boy & sleep a lot.
GF is weak and can’t hurt him. Goes away.
Mum comforts him. Jojo is better.
General Fever is a very scary man with a black cape and red hat.
He often goes out in the night
And he loves to climb into children and make them sick.
He enjoys children’s tears and fears and he likes to make fun of them.
Children are all afraid of him, and so is Jojo.
One day, General Fever comes and Jojo feels so bad.
He cries to his mommy: Mama, make him go away.
He can hear General Fever laughing at him and it makes him cry harder.
“Don’t be scared of him ! Just be brave.” She says.
Jojo asks “I feel so weak, and he is so mean.”
“Drink the medicine, it will make you strong.”
But General Fever does not like this, and wants to scare Jojo.
“No , I’m not going anywhere!”
“I like you , sick boy , I will always stay with you!”
Jojo is too scared and sick to talk
But he knows his mother would never lie to him.
He agrees to take the medicine
It tastes terrible but he drinks it all anyway.
He also drinks a lot of water and goes to sleep and starts to dream.
And in the dream General Fever comes, he looks weak and blurry.
He shouts to Jojo, I will be back! You can’t get rid of me.
Jojo replies to General fever, “I’m a brave boy, I’m not afraid of you.”
“Please don’t come back you’re not welcome.” he continues.
And he feels much better even in the dream.
Jojo sweats a lot but when he wakes up his fever has gone and he feels much better.
