It is was a tiring weekend, because I had to play with my child all day long. She is very energetic. She would not let me stop playing with her. And she simply would not lose any of her energy. 

Every time I come to am at work, it is I feel more relaxed than at home.

Vocabulary

Sentences to help with talking to colleagues:

  • How was your evening/morning/weekend…?
  • How are you doing today?
  • Do you have a lot of work today?
  • How is your *project or something they are working on* going?
  • I just have to do some general stuff, nothing special going on today for me.
  • It’s okay/alright/fine. Do not worry.

For Thank You:

  • You’re welcome – the most formal and appropriate response to “thank you”
  • Not a problem
  • No problem
  • Don’t worry about it
  • Anytime – implies that you can ask for favours from that person, but do not do it too often
  • It’s fine – used rarely

weird (adj) – strange

e.g. Your colleagues may think you are being weird.

Nice to meet you –  used when you are meeting the person for the first time in your LIFE.

Nice to see you (again) – use when you are seeing someone again after a long time
