brick and mortar – an interesting way to describe physical retail stores

eg: “A lot of brick and mortar stores are failing.”

Overhead N. – the total costs of running a business, Employees, Inventory, Rent, Utilities

eg: “Overhead is much higher for a physical store than an online store.”

Utilities – bills such as gas water electricity

eg: “We must pay the utilities or we will have no lights or water.”

Shipping and Handling – cost to deliver the package

eg: “The shipping and handling was too much for that package.”

soar – to fly very high

eg: “Eagles were soaring over the mountain.”

apparel – clothing or things you wear

eg: “Summer apparel is cheaper to buy in the winter.”
