Corrections

I think I’m going to resign* – I think I’m going to quit
*Note: although the two mean the same thing, people usually resign from a high-profile position, so the word resign sounds a little formal. That being said, we would use this word when talking to our bosses, but when with friends we can simply say quit.

Vocabulary
Compatible – adjective; able to get along well
Ex. Ideally, two people who are going to get married should be compatible.
Resignation – noun form of resign
Scratch paper – blank paper intended for writing things down quickly
Worldwide – adjective; globally
Grammar
The word resign is followed by the preposition from. Therefore, we resign from a position or job.
Expressions
When you don’t blend well with someone it means that the two of you cannot get along well and are incompatible.
A Game Plan is a plan of action.
To start from scratch means to begin from nothing.
To give due credit means to give someone credit for something they did, no matter how you feel about them.
Ex. The foreign company failed to give due credit when it came to the construction of the CCTV building.
To break even means to make as much money as you spend or spent.
Ex. China has yet to break even when it comes to the 2008 Olympics expenditure.
