Speaking exercise

Original:

Today I got blamed by my boss because we got a couple boxes of magazines in the afternoon then I called my boss to see if she needed us to give them to all the employees and she said yes. Then I and my partner gave the magazines to them. After that we found a box of calendar. We thought that was for employees too, so we also give the calendar to them. Before I was off my boss gave me a phone call and asked me “Why did you give these calendars to the employees? Why didn’t you ask me? They were for our dealers. Just take these back before you go.”. And actually I was a little disheartening.

Today I got blamed for a problem by my boss. We got a couple boxes of magazines in the afternoon, so I called my boss to see if she needed us to give them to all the employees, to which she said yes, so me and my partner did just that. After that, we found a box of calendars and we thought that they were also for employees, so we also distributed them among the workers. Before I was off my boss called me and asked: “Why did you give the calendars to the employees? Why didn’t you ask me? They were for our dealers. Just take them back before you go.”. Actually it was a little disheartening.
