Today is Wednesday and It’s raining. I woke up at 8AM in the morning. My son’s school had a sports meet today. I was reviewing this whole morning. I left my home for Huashan road at half past eleven then I got to school in 1.5 hours. I took the subway to class at noon。I had a very nice class today,I asked my teacher to go to Suzhou to listen to the Chinese Guitar (Shuzhou Pingtan) show. I got home at 4:30 in the afternoon. My son told me to Shot Put at the school sports meeting today. He was very tired today, at noon his father took him for a nice steak at IAPM mall.

What does, “Shoot the shot” mean?
